Rated 5 out of 5 by Oata99 from Fantastic rod I brought this same rod over seven years ago and have been amazed by its strength and durability for such a lite rod I have caught Murray cod as big as 80 cm on it and although it flexed and creeked whilst doing so it still held up and landed the fish I have just returned from a trip to mathoura on the Edwards river in nsw where my ugly stick lite finally succumb to a stinking euro and a loose grip But as I search for a replacement I felt the need to tell everyone how good the old one was

Rated 5 out of 5 by Flappy from compares with the best I bought a Shakespeare fiberglass rod 38yrs ago as my first fishing rod. I still have it today and it still HAULS in the Big Ones. This past year I purchased the Uglystick Lite because of its features such as more and better spaced line guides provide a even pressure over the rod giving it great feel. The stainless steel ring on the furrel that tightens up against your reel prevents splitting. Others are just plastic and over time they split. I prefer the cork handle for better feel on the rod. It is a light rod and with a well balanced reel you can fish all day and not have any arm or hand fatigue. Plus it has a hook holder for hooking up your lure so it is not bouncing and dangling around causing tangles in your line. It amazes me how well and thought out this rod really is for the price. Honestly I looked at rods that were more money and had a fancy name but dollar for dollar you can't go wrong. A 5yr warranty to boot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by IndyMac from Ugly Lite Thanks for the quick shipping. The rod seems to be the very item I've been wanting for some time now. Cannot find in stores; Dick's, Gander etc. and had to order straight from you. I have the shorter version but needed to make farther cast. Awesome for that for panfish. I'm a big fan of the Ugly Stik and they last forever. I own over 14 now. Good product.
