Rated 5 out of 5 by from OUTSTANDING I bought the 10 footer about 2 months ago and have already landed some 40+ lb blue catfish and the rod held together plentyful...and just when I thought It couldn't get any better, I had a bass fisherman run over my line with his boat -_- and carried out my line about 75 yards bending my rod more and more... amazingly the tip of my 10ft rod came just inches from touching the ground from orginally standing straight up in a pole holder!! and IT DID NOT SNAP I yelled for the bass fisherman to stop. he did, untangled my line and my pole is still in perfect condition today. I feel like I probably could've reeled in that bass boat with this rod lol! simply outstanding!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Badly made The big water rod I received was shipped in a cardboard box and it was pretty dinged up and looked like something was sitting on it. I haven’t gotten it out to the water and it creeks when I give it a test bend. It looks like some of the guides on this rod weren’t sealed properly. I seen and given a test bend to some big water rods I’ve seen at dicks sporting goods and those seem to have been made better or at least feel of better quality. I’d like to exchange my rod but I threw away the plastic bag it comes in and I don’t want to be charged a stocking fee. It’s definitely a quality rod no doubt but I think I received a poorly manufactured one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all around pole Got the 6'6" model a few months ago as a present. I coupled it with a 5000 reel and 30 lbs braid . I have used it on everything from Redfish, Snook, and small Tarpon, to Fresh Water stuff like Gar, Snake Head, Bowfin, and all kinds of Bass. I have to say; since my first cast, I felt I could catch anything on it. Its stiff, yet very reactive at the same time. The stainless Loops and the Foam Handle feel like good quality. I hope I don't break it, but if I do, I would definitely get another one.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bigwater My family and I have been buying uglystiks for generations. I recently bought a 10ft bigwater back in august of 2017, when it snapped across the middle of the 2Pc joint on a cast. I've been trying to get into contact with uglystik but have not heard any responses since the automated emails and its been about two weeks going on three. It's quite upsetting that the customer service is this slow. Ultimately this might be the turning point for me and the brand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from terrible rod I have many ugly stik rods of all sizes and have always been pleased with them. I have several 15 footers and I wanted another one. When it arrived it had metal eyelets. None of the others have these metal eyelets. Although I was concerned I figured they knew what they were doing. I throw long and hard with the 15 footers and every time I use this new one the end eyelet cuts my line. These new eyelets are junk.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed in quality! I bought this rod from the Ugly Stik website and returned it the next day. The rod looked like it had deep cut/fractures on 5 different places on the rod and when put together was bent to one side. Worst ugly stik I've seen in 25 years. It took almost a month for them to give me a refund and I called them three different occasions and told something different about how long it would take for my refund. That's the last one I buy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I was looking for. 7' medium/2 piece Rigged it with Shimano Sahara 4000FB. Made catches more exciting off NC piers. Plenty sensitive rod. Strong. Enuff reel to pull in average fish that I'm likely to get on. Very satisfied. My 3rd Ugly Stik.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible metal guides I bought the 15ft bigwater uglystik 6 months ago, used it three times. Today all the guides and metal inlets are rusty and corroded!!! I have three other shorter versions of uglystik with the ceramic guides and after 10 years of use no rust. PLEASE!!! avoid the 15ft at all cost. This is just a heavy useless pole.
