Product Reviews

Ugly Stik® Inshore Select Casting Rod is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 56.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strong lightweight rod! Exactly what I wanted! I ordered the Inshore Select to replace a much heaver rod that was wearing me out when fishing artificials. This rod is a pleasure to fish with and the price is amazing as well. The shorter butt section makes it easier to use from a kayak than my other rods. I looked at rods that were over twice the price of an Inshore and saw nothing I was really impressed with. Rod was shipped to my work and when I unboxed it two coworkers looked at it and immediately wanted a link to the site I bought it from. They both ended up ordering several Inshores. I'm currently using the medium 7' for Stripers and largemouth Bass. I plan to get some of the other weights/lengths for other species also.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fish Catcher Great rod, caught 70 plus Striper/Blue Fish in the Chesapeake first day out with this rod. Well balanced and sharp to look at but also performs better than most rods twice the cost. Setup is a 7' medium action spinning rod paired with a Penn 5000 reel and 20lb PowerPro Braid, what I would call a Flounder setup (Perfect for fresh water Bass too). There was a slight cosmetic blemish with the last two guide eyelets, I contacted Customer Service and had a replacement rod in 2 days. As good or better Customer Service than I have ever experienced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible I got this rod last year. I'm a bass fisherman and this works well for them it's light and strong. I went on a bluefish trip and caught 3 bluefish the largest one was 19 lbs! I landed that fish in about 4 minutes. I suggest this rod. !!!!!note: if you are a bass fisherman get the medium light if you want a good saltwater AND bass rod get the medium one!!!!!good fishing

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome inshore rod Great rod for the money. Has good action with enough backbone to handle those bigger flounder and redfish. We fish them 5-7 days a week on our charters and I highly trying them if you haven't already.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect balanced This is one of the best rods we have ever fished with. It's well balanced and the stiffness vs the flexibility is perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for targeted species I recently purchased an Inshore Select Spinning Rod and had the opportunity to use it the following week. It is perfect for fishing in coastal Louisiana. I caught redfish, speckled trout, flounder and blue catfish on that trip. The rod is excellent because I was able to feel very light bites which are typical for cold water fishing in Louisiana during the fall and early winter. The rod has a solid backbone because I landed a large black drum which was about 35 pounds with no problem. I am very pleased with the purchase.
