Rated 5 out of 5 by JG1966 from Strength and Toughness I have four Shakespeare rods, to include the "Ugly Stik Catfish", the Shakespeare Big Water, and two Ugly Stik Tiger® Casting Rods. They are all good rods. However, the Tiger is h*ll for stout, and surprisingly, reasonably sensitive, considering. . . I use the two Tigers for big flathead catfish fishing. I have no complaints. Buy them with confidence if you mean to go after large hard fighting fish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bigling from Tough!! And reliable. I now own 3. This rod is flexible enough to sight cast accurately at cobia and has enough back bone to pull 50+lb. cobia from the rig. All around great rod for nearshore/ offshore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chris Mo from Ugly stick tiger Just received the ugly stick and went out fishing a week later. First fish I hooked was 72 lb blue catfish. Pole held up to the challenge. Would recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JTP1116 from Great Rod for Trolling I purchased two of these rods for use as trolling rods, 8 foot Med Light. I winter in AZ and fish for stripper. I put Cabela's 15 A Depth Master Line Counter reels with 14 lb Fireline with a 4 foot Florocarbon Leader and These Tiger Rods are sensentive and load tremendously for landing stripper and Walleye. Best trolling rod on my boat and I know that they will work tremendously well on Lake Oahe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MinnesotaCatman from Awesome Rod! I recently ordered my 7' Medium action BCAO casting rod and matched it with an Abu 7000i spooled with 30lb Trilene XT. With a 4oz weight, it casts awesome. Enough whip, to actually get some casting distance, but stiff enough to fish in a current. I haven't caught a fish on it yet, so I can't review that part. My only suggestion would be to consider mating it with the 7000C3i instead for more casting distance.
