Rated 5 out of 5 by samubus from Sturdy rods for river fishing I own the BWS 110066 and 110070 and love both of them. I use them for Ohio River catfishing and occasional saltwater vacation fishing. I love the handles because they are the perfect size for fighting large fish. These also have good backbone but are not like pool sticks either. This 39" Flathead was caught on the BWS110066 paired with an Okuma Coronado baitfeeder and Power Pro 30lb. braid. I would recommend a Shimano Baitrunner over the Okuma. I own both but the Baitrunner is more maintenance friendly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Shanerolfe from Impressive Performance! I brought a 10 foot Big Water Ugly Stik (med heavy) last Feb 2016, with the intent of using it to cast large Sinkers 4 to 8oz, a distance which this rod does comfortably. Basically fishing in 50 to 60 foot of water for Sturgeon and Catfish by a dam, on the Mississippi river. The power in the rod is amazing, and still has the sensitivity to detect slight bites. Judge for yourself the results in these Pictures.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JBarone19 from Unbreakable & Unstoppable I have owned multiple Ugly Stiks, this rod is a staple in the industry. I've learned on a Ugly Stik and still have the same rod over 15 years later. The rod is versatile, I pulled up anything from a 30lb Striper to a 28' Flattie and the occasional tree branch. The sensitive tip makes you think you can feel a fish breathing on your bait, the backbone on this rod is undeniable. I now own several different types of Ugly Stik's the Tiger and Big Water will go to battle with any rod out there. I don't always put hogs on my deck, but when I do I do it with a Ugly Stik.. Stay Ugly my friends

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chuck Taylor from Overall Review and Performance I purchased this rod a month or so ago and I like everything about it except the abnormally larger first eyelet but its a big water rod so there's nothing one can do about it.They have great back bone and if you get a really big fish on lets say a 30lb'er it will hold up and that thicker handle and start of the rod allows you to handle the fish and pretty much man handle it if you wanted to. I've used Ugly Stik rods for 10 years and to be honest they're the the only rods I use for a number of reasons 1. they're very durable and don't break easily, 2. you can use one of their 6ft 6'' rods and catch a 10lb fish (I've personally done this) with no trouble because the rods hold up to the challenge. I don't big water fish by the standard definition but I do get a hold of some pretty big fish and I like poles that I know can get the job done like this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Burgerboy from Tough Stuff I bought this for my most recent trip to Port Aransas, Tx. and it worked well off the pier. I then took it to Galveston 2 weeks ago and had success at the pier and in the surf. This rod is tough as heck, and gets the job done while still having a fast action tip, to be sensitive. Great Value !!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mickey the fisherman from ugly stik fishing rod I made a mistake and ordered the wrong size fishing rod. I was intending to order a 11 foot two piece rod but your website had limited amount of information about the product so I took a chance and ordered rod unfortunately it's a mistake I'm going to have to accept. Most likely I won't use this fishing rod because I have 3 of the same rods already so I won't be able to write about it. Overall it is a very good fishing rod just wish your website was more detailed with information about your products. I will search the Web for the rod I want but if I can't find it I'll go to a local fishing store. Thanks

Rated 5 out of 5 by Logjam from Preferred over catfish rod I own the 8 foot 2 piece catfish rod and like them very much. I have never been in need of a long casting rod so a decided to try a 7 foot for a general purpose cat rod. I went with the medium model in order to gain a little more flexable tip for channel cats. It has worked very well and I prefer the big waters over the white catfish rods now. Better guides and feel while still retaining a soft tip for circle hooks. The only thing that leaves me scratching my head is the very large base eyelet. It's huge. If you looking for an all purpose cat rod that can handle eater size to large cats and be able to hang at the pier at an affordable price, I highly recommend a MEDIUM action Big Water.
