Rated 3 out of 5 by Gabby from like it but not love it Just bought a 6"6' spinning jigging 50-100 lbs line rating last week and tested off of Gulf of Mexico for a 80 foot depth of water and the rod tip felt soft compared to the older version (metal butt cap)with same rating.Another disappointment was the" soft-spot bend" is not centered or aligned with the guide rings.Went to Outdoor Bass Pro Shop today and tested the 6" and 6'6' both (5--100,80-130 lbs line ratings) and same observation ,the bending characteristic of the rods were not consistent and most are mis-aligned to the guide rings.Hope they could correct this .I really loved the stainless still guides.Hope they could demand to the manufacturer to have a stricter quality control then this is gonna be a five star product. Rated 5 out of 5 by 718 to 757 Angler from Outstanding Rod I plan to swap out all my other rods for the fleet of Ugly Stik Tiger Elite Jigging Spin Rod. Paired the 6' Heavy with a Daiwa BG 6500, and crushed it while fishing offshore in NC. I also have the 6'6" MH paired with a Daiwa BG 5000 and that set up worked just as well. These rods are strong and they do not compromise sensitivity. I am pairing the 5'10" Heavy Ugly Stik Tiger Elite Bait Cast Jigging with the Daiwa Tanacom 500 or 750 for a 52hr deep drop run in the Gulf this coming Oct and will look to report back then.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Wildbill2 from Tiger Elite Spinning and Casting Rods After building a Penn 113H custom narrow Special Senator, I put it on a Tiger Eilte Jigging casting rod because of the light weight, impressive power and great value. When I had the opportunity to fish it off shore I was very impressed with its performance. Naturally, when I hot rodded up an old school Penn 750SS spinning reel, I put it on the spinning version of the Tiger Elite rod!

Rated 5 out of 5 by dmacilveen from Great rod We have alot of Goliath grouper on our wrecks and very often have to hook up with them while trying to get grouper and snapper to the surface. This rod not only handles these beasts we have brought a couple 500#'ers up to the surface with no ill wear on the rod.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Boss Cline from Great for catfish I have one in 6' and an older one in 6'6", and they're great for pulling in big catfish. Also, much less cumbersome on a boat than most catfish rods that usually go around 8'. The moderate action is a perfect match with braided line

Rated 5 out of 5 by Red Tide from Can not go wrong Every pole on the boat is a ugly stick. We fish each and every week . We always try a different rod every now and then some costing much more and the ugly always out does them. Pick is showing what the Tiger elite is capable of.
