Rated 4 out of 5 by JTP1116 from good rod I purchased this rod earlier this year with wanting to have a spinning rod on the boat and decided on the 6'9" medium action rod for jigging for walleye, since I purchased two of the 8' med lite rods for trolling. I got into a group of fish and started jigging and landed into a good size walleye that after getting it on board measured 32" long, however in the process the tip of the rod broke and we had to hand pull the line in to save the catch, I think the rod is still a good rod as 90% of my rods I have are Ugly Stks, I think it was just an event that will happen no matter with rod you may have. I intend to send the rod back for a replacement now that winter has set in. - JTP

Rated 5 out of 5 by Knowmeasmike from Unbelievable strength and more! I have had this rod a while... I was at a local lake and was bass fishing a weeded cove with a top water frog. I had 12lb mono line and your standard spinning reel... Threw out my cast and was retreveing my bait like normal and bam! Like a shark attack, i hooked into a MASSIVE fish. It pulled and bent my Uglystik like you wouldnt believe, drag was zipping, i was in a fight. After 15 mins passed i had tired the fish out enough to get it to the boat..... A musky...... Wow. Netted him. I was in such disbelief that he didnt break my rod or my line. True and 100 percent honest proof of a quality product. 4ft 23lbs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tony T from the best kayak rod I bought one last year especially for the kayak. Perfect rod light enough to cast light bucktails strong enough to handle 23lb stripers. I now use it for almost everything. Only issue i had was that the butt was to big to fit in one of the rod holder's. No problem i trimmed a little. Over the winter i bought another one. I can't wait to take it to the canyon tuna fishing. For flipping squid jigs and Mahi Mahi

Rated 4 out of 5 by Rivah Pirate from Good Rod for price I fish the James River in VA for blue cats and bought the 7' Heavy Tiger Lite Casting and paired it with an Avet SX and on its first trip caught a 40lb blue cat and this Rod was so much fun. I normally run the regular Tigers in MH but wanted a Rod that really bowed up but could still sling sinkers from 10oz-16oz. This Rod is perfect for it. I wrapped my cork handle tho to match my other 9 rods on the boat

Rated 5 out of 5 by Regulatorman from Quality meets affordability and durability I added these tiger light rods into my deep water fluke fishing rotations this past season. Very versatile rods, capable of handling various lead weights to hold bottom and a pretty darn good Bucktailing rod... Spros and GULP for fluke... Dynamite rod.. I have mine matched to Penn 965's w/ 20lb braid...

Rated 5 out of 5 by GaoWee from Best rod in its price range... Great rod, Comparable to my brother in law's $200 swimbait rod but at a fraction of the cost. My brother even commented that the ugly stik had more backbone than his rod which helps when fighting 30-40 pound fish. Excellent rod, Excellent price. gao

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ellender Charters from Great Rod This rod is exactly what I have been looking for. I use it to battle bullreds, but the real reason I bought it is to drag the hard fighting mangrove snapper away from the oil rigs off of Louisiana's coast. It has performed flawlessly and is extremely tough. I highly recommend it.
