    Ultralight is the way

    Don't bother with the medium heavy 7'. It's ok just nothing really remarkable. The ultralight is fantastic however. I have a 7' 2pc ultralight that I've caught a bunch of bluegill and crappie on. It's insane how much fun such a light whippy rod is. It's also durable. I've done some sketchy stuff trying to get a hook dislodged from a tree or underwater log and nothing happened. The same can't be said for my first GX2 medium heavy that I actually cracked the epoxy on a line guide but I digress. Get an ultralight in any length. You will not regret it.

    Five stars let me explain:)

    hi im a verified purches on a different phone but im only 12 So about 4 years ago my dad got me a Ugly stick Gx-2 I think it was 6 6 medium action with a Shakespeare real I love that rod I haven't been able to use it in about 2 years because a fish snaped my line and I didn't realise the tip was loose and it fell off and I never found it but with the short time I used that rod I loved it more than any rod I've ever had so imo the Gx-2 is a great rod for any fisherman but if you have a younger child with you the dock runner is a great option aswell
