Rolled my window up on my rod tip then opened my truck door with it still in the window and the rod tip held up. Would recommend the heavy action, my medium heavy is a bit of a light setup for rivers but just fine at lakes.

Rods are well built and feel good. Stiffness of rod is good for controlling fish.

I bought this rod a year ago and the only problem I had was using braid. The braid cut in to the guides just a little I wish they made guides that hold up to braided line but I have caught some pigs on the rod and is has never let me down paired it with a penn firece 4000 great reel for this type of rod. Go buy the rod you won't be disappointed

I have used these rods for years for sturgeon fishing and catfishing caught some pigs on these rods took my brother fishing for the first time last weekend and he hooked into a 60 inch lake sturgeon talk about a tough rod highly recommend these rods are very strong very tough the pics prove it!!!! You have a customer for life ugly stik

I got this rod last season and love it. I use it to fish large deadbaits for pike, as it can handle casting large baitfish. I've caught quite a few 40+ inch pike on it and it performs beautifully when fighting large fish. If it was a little lighter it would also be good for fishing big lures, but since that isnt really what it was designed for I suppose I cant complain too much.
