I like it a lot its more then worth its value its perfect for beginners and pros its a all around rod that is perfect for bass fishing and other recreational fishing it was my first full size rod and ill be buying another one when mine breaks there super strong to i mean look at that photo i found on youtube.

I bought the rod for my wife to replace one that broke on her spincast reel. If she breaks the Ugly Stik she's too rough on equipment and needs to quit fishing.

What a great pole. You just don't find better poles then Ugly Stik!

I had never noticed that some rods were built gender specific so I had to try it. Must say that I'm pleasantly surprised at the difference! Lightweight, super sensitive but also firm enough to hold up to catching even huge bass and catfish! We will definitely buy more in the near future :-)

I have the 6 ft ladies gx2 ugly stik and I love it. However, I hope Shakespeare will look into making a ladies 6ft 6 in medium heavy or heavy rod. I love to frog fish and most of the lake around me have lots of weed and grass. Pulling a fish out of heavy grass with a medium rod is a struggle. I would go to the regular GX2 ugly stick, but the handle is far too long for me (I'm only 5'4) and my arms are not that long. Please look into it, Shakespeare!
