I had this rod gifted to me at the beginning of summer and have caught several cats of all sizes. Including a blue that ripped my scales at 87#!!! This rod held up and wore this monster out with no problem!

I have always liked Ugly Stik rods because of their durability and price point and this one still lives up to that. While not as sensitive as high dollar rods, this does the trick for what I use it for! I mainly use this for fishing flatheads so a really sensitive rod is really not necessary. It holds up well to 20+lbs fish and has a good backbone to it. Will also use this for snagging paddlefish and think it will work great for that as well. Would purchase again.
