    Great cheap beginners rod

    Picked this up at walmart. The next day went out and caught a 7lb channel cat and a 25-30lb flathead catfish. Fight was great on the flathead and held up great

    Great rod broken reel.

    I’ve always used ugly stick rods I seen this on sale with the reel and bought it. Reel would not spin no matter what you did. Took it to the local rod shop and found that the main shaft is bent and seized inside the brass sleeve that incases it. Great rod and I’m not saying don’t buy the combo. Maybe just a bad batch because I’ve seen several people fishing with this set up and it’s great.
