    Handle fell apart

    I own four ugly stick rods and will never buy another one. I just sent a message to ugly stick. My handle fell off and it looks like it wasn’t glued on right and I have not received a phone call yet.

    DO NOT BUY- TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! SCAM!!!

    I purchased this on 8/26/25 for my father's birthday which was on 8/30.

    Upon arrival we noticed we did not receive the full order. The rod is supposed to come in 2 pieces. We only received one piece. I have been calling and emailing since September 1. It is now September 9 and I still have not heard from anyone concerning a refund or getting the second piece.

    AWFUL REEL, WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE… DO NOT BUY

    I purchased this rod and used it about 5-6 times over the course of a month, I’m easy on my gear, it’s always stored inside, and I take general good care of things. So about my 5th or 6th time using the kit; the reel handle broke, I have emailed them multiple times, sometimes I hear nothing back sometimes I will get an arrogant response and then Nothing after that. I’ve have also phoned them multiple times, and over the past month and a half just trying to get this sorted out under warranty I am officially giving up and buying a new reel from a different company. I’ve been an ugly stik customer for a long time but there is no way I’ll ever buy another piece of equipment from them or ever recommend them to a friend. Terrible company, terrible service, and in this instance a terrible product.

    Terrible customer service!

    I ordered this item for my son’s 14th birthday and noticed an incorrect shipping address immediately after ordering. Attempted to contact Ugly Stik customer service multiple times (via phone and email) right away to correct the error. Received an email response over a week later AFTER the order had already been delivered to the incorrect address! Do better, Ugly Stik customer service! You’ve lost a customer, the rod is now lost forever, and I am out a lot of $$$!!!
