Did not have it for long, the pin holding the handle somehow broke while reeling in a small fish and the whole reels handle came apart. Contacted support and did not hear back. 0/10. Was not cheap either. Highly disappointed in the customer service.

That is not the level of service we want to provide.

Had the 5’ quick trigger spin combo since late August or so….got the gx2 after it went on sale after Black Friday. Fished around a few days but they were some COLD days and partially frozen. No dice. So it warms up to 50s on Christmas Eve day, and not only did I catch two of my biggest catches again, but at their same ponds. I’m 90% sure it’s the same fish. Anyway this gx2 is awesome.

I bought this because I’ve used an older model that my father in law owns. It’s lasted him for years. The rod is great. Stiff flex which is perfect for fighting aggressive fish. The reel is sub par cheap trash. The second time I took this out the pin holding the handle assembly fell out while walking to my fishing spot. I tried to find a replacement with no luck. I reached out to Ugly Stik. They never answered my question but had the nerve to send a server on their performance. I sent another email and was told they are back logged and don’t have the parts. Instead they sent me a link for their parts supplier. Guess what they don’t have the part either. I was walking around my local sporting goods store. Half the Ugly Stik reels were missing their handle assemblies. Seems like this is an on going issue if people are stealing what they need from a store. Obviously no help from the company and no finding the part online so people are going to do what they are going to do. I don’t condone that behavior but a part of me understands it. Then I come on here and see people are having the same issues with the same rod/reel combo. Not trying to bash yall but get your life right. Using cheap plastic that feels cheap and not having the part to repair it is ludicrous. If you stand by your product then you need to stand on business and fix the issue. Not provide a link that doesn’t even carry the part needed. Quit passing the buck. I want to give yall a chance but it’s not looking good. I…

The Rod i purchased was the 7 ft medium/ Heavy combo with a G2 50 REEL The rod seem to be good but the reel is way below ugly stik quality! My spool bottoms out when reeling itand the handle has broken so i think the reel is obviously not good and im very disappointed. I would like to swap the entire reel in for a new one, i probably own around 10 other Ugly stik rods and actually 3 10ft bream busters.
