    9 footer for salmon/steelhead

    Bought the rod for throwing Thundersticks and large spinners for salmon/steelhead in Michigan. First time out caught a nice steelhead on a Thunderstick in the Grand River. Rod casts like a dream and is light in the hand. Build quality by far surpasses the price. Love this rod.

    I love my New GX2 7ft medium / Heavy 1 piece. It came well put together with guides well wrapped and finished and all the guides lined up to the reel seat which is something I see off on many low cost rods. The rods and guides seem very sturdy with the double footed guides through out. I paired this with a Penn Battle III 5000 and it balances pretty nice. This Will be my go to for Striped Bass and Bluefish.
