I was loving this reel and rod the bait caster version tho. I was fishing on the river and as I was fishing and probably lost my pb bass. The tip of the rod in the second section and it’s no good nomo.

A 4-part travel rod is a nice idea, and the included bag and reel are nice, but I’ve had two of these Travel Spinning rods and both of them failed in the same way–with 2-parts completely fusing together, making this an awkward 3-part rod with unaligned rod guides. Interestingly enough, both of my rods fused during my second time using them. Believe me, I tried icing and blow drying the pieces, even leaving them in the fridge to try to contract the connection, but nothing I did would make the sections twist apart. I think there is a design flaw with the ferrules that makes them grip each other, perhaps it is because of how rough the texture is inside, like sandpaper, that causes it to adhere so strongly. I have a 3-part travel rod from another brand that I never have problems with, and its ferrules are smooth and evenly coated, inside and out. I like how much this rod breaks down, and it actually feels good in the hand when casting and jigging, but I am very disappointed because this rod failed me TWICE, and now, the rod guides are so askew I might not even be able to use it as a 3-part rod.
