This rod is a beast. I searched the internet for days on any info on rods that are suitable for alligator hunting and I came up with many mixed reviews on tons of poles, but I am here to tell you that this pole (7’ tiger elite) will haul in a 250 lb alligator with no issues. I have a Penn battle 4 8000 with 200# test line mounted on this pole. I hauled in 2 alligators with this pole bent from tip to reel and it was fine. My casting range is approximately 50 yards. So for any alligator hunters that are looking for a rod that can handle the big stuff… This is it…! It will pull the earth out of orbit it if you aren’t careful. 10 stars…
