I bought this combo from Canadian tire a few months back and haven’t fished with it much due to it backlashing every time I try to cast. Today I decided to open it up to see what was wrong internally and found that 3 of the 9 magnets in the magnetic braking system were missing. I don’t know if this was a manufacturing error or what but it’s not right and I’d love either a new reel or some new magnets for it.

We’d be happy to look into this for you. Please email us a copy of your proof of purchase from Canadian Tire, along with a few photos of the reel and the magnetic braking system showing the missing magnets. Once we receive that information, we can review the issue and determine the best way to assist with a replacement or the appropriate parts.

Bought it from Sportsman Warehouse, and while reeling my bait in, it felt super bumpy, and after a couple of days of owning it, the tension knob stopped working and the bait wouldn’t drop when pressing down the thumb button

I have previously purchased an Ugly Stik rod and reel combo and was very satisfied with its quality. However, this is the first time I have been disappointed with the condition and overall quality of the product I received.

Reel was broken upon unboxing, I noticed the bottom was broken after taking off zip tie.. I am so heartbroken, I have been waiting for this order to go fishing with my buddy , I was so excited.. I’d like for Ugly stik to send me a new reel if possible

I bought this baitcaster from dicks sporting goods and when I got it home and put line on it the tension was not working. I turned the knob and pressed the button and instead of falling slowly it fell quickly which it is not supposed to do.
